April!

Spring has sprung! We adopted a little orphan lamb this month, a Border Leicester / Coopworth black mix. The boys have had so much fun bottle feeding her. She's like a big puppy!

Little Icelandic ewe lamb born, unfortunately she had an accident out in the pasture and didn't make it. :(  But sooo cute, we can't wait until we have more Icelandics. The curls in the wool were so sweet.

Sister missionaries came to help shear my Icelandic ram, Thorin...

The missionaries came to help my son butcher a ram.

We get nearly a months worth of meat from 1 sheep!

Raising sheep virtually required us to adopt the retro lamb cake tradition for easter...

Took a family trip to Virginia Beach... had to take Gracie along because she was still bottlefeeding!

It made the children laugh and play to see a lamb at... the beach??

Gourds, ready for painting!

Another batch of sheep milk soap! With coconut, olive & lemon oil. :)

New barn kittens :)

So far, unsuccessfully... ;-)

A wonderful month, full of baby animals and sunshine! Next month, gardening!
